Double the Eliminations, Double the Fun

I don't really have anything to say about last night's American Idol vote-off, except that America is a wise and discerning country. (I thought we'd get one or the other of Phil and Chris, not both.) But clearly you have something to say, judging by the free-for-all yesterday's post incited in the comments, including: Bon Jovi's merits, or lack thereof; my qualifications (totally nonexistent) as a music critic; the 2000 election recount; and the inevitable invocation of Godwin's Law.

So: have at it, Idolators. How does the vote play out from here? And would Al Gore have been better off pushing more aggressively for a statewide recount of all precincts?
