JPTV: What I'm Watching Tonight

8 p.m.: How I Met Your Mother. OK, actually, I would be watching this, if I hadn't already seen the finale. Now that FNL's been reviewed, this is the bubble show I'm sending out the most positive waves for, and a few setups from past episodes (hint: pasta sauce) pay off in this finale.

9 p.m.: The King of Queens finale. At least, Tivo will be watching this. This time of year, between upfronts, summer TV screeners and megafinales like Lost and American Idol, I end up with a backlog of finales well into the summer. Still, I've always had a soft spot for King of Queens, which is a meat-and-potatoes domestic sitcom done right--funny, unpretentious--and for my money, was better than Everybody Loves Raymond, which got all the attention for years.

Also 9 p.m.: Heroes. Though I'm tempted to wait and double-pump the finale next week.

Tivo backlog: The Sopranos. So I can stop avoiding my coworkers.
