The Morning After: Miami Heat

After talking up Dexter at the beginning of the season, I've fallen behind, so this is your opportunity to take the law into your own hands and comment on it--or any other weekend TV. Did anyone manage (unlike me) to get through to the end of History Channel's bloated Nostradamus special? (It ends with him predicting something really nice, right? Involving free puppies and ice cream cones for everyone?)

This has nothing to do with anything, but I was watching online clips of the Daily Show this weekend when I noticed the clips were sponsored by Tivo. Which is funny because the Daily Show schedule drives my Tivo absolutely nuts. Always wants to record 4 showings a day then skip the (new) 11:00 show. Now that the two parties are in cahoots, can't they sort that mess out?

I am loving Dexter this season. The network shows, with the exception of Pushing Daisies, have been lackluster and uneven, while Dexter's having such an unrelentlessly great season. The character of Lila has injected a very interesting tension into Dexter's life.

Likewise, the addition of Keith Carradine has been phenomenal, particularly in dealing with Debra's post-Ice Truck Killer life.

This season has been really spot on.
