JPTV: What I'm Watching Tonight
Despite the NBC minisodes' best efforts to warn me away, I'll be seeing a screening of Bee Movie with the rest of the Tuned In family. I'm just sayin'. Actual viewing of the television machine curtailed accordingly.
For those of you at home and uninterested in another episode of Carpoolers, however, may I suggest The Undertaking, PBS's lyrical Frontline documentary about Thomas Lynch, the Michigan mortician whose meditations on his trade and its place in society helped inform Six Feet Under. The subject matter is what it is, but despite a hard-to-take storyline about a terminally ill infant, the documentary is more moving than depressing, an enlightening look at a thoughtful gatekeeper on a road we all must take some day. A preview:
I understand there's a scene almost exactly like that in Bee Movie.

I know this is a TV blog, but what were your thoughts on Bee Movie? Was it as annoying as the commercials want us to believe?

Well, I can review the, oh, half-hour I watched before Tuned In Jr. Jr. decided it was too scary and I had to usher him out. It was better than the commercials, though it wasn't looking like a match for your typical Pixar movie. Also, I didn't get all the pre-movie press where Jerry Seinfeld said the movie would have any predictable bee jokes; there seemed to bee plenty from where I was sitting. But again, this was an abbreviated viewing so YMMV, and even my MMV if I were to see the whole thing.

Here's what N Bee C's seemingly endless string of Bee Movie promos led me to wonder:
Didn't Seinfeld used to be funny? and
Why did they make a promo campaign whose seeming goal was to make me NOT want to see this movie?
