The Morning After: Robo-Version, 11.16.07

This is Robo-James. In the absence of my inferior carbon-based colleague, this automatically generated post exists to provide humans a space in which to discuss programming transmitted the previous evening on your video-display device.

Flesh-James will return on Monday. If I were sufficiently flawed to experience irrational emotion, I would have felt pleasure serving you this week.

Ugly Betty was really good last night - I loved New Betty and Old Betty interacting with each other, the Race for the Will, Claire's makeover, and Daniel, Alexis, and Betty coming back together. Even though Betty has had to deal with a lot of moral ambiguity since coming to Mode, she is still the moral compass for Daniel and his family that she always was. Loved Marc tossing Betty's classes and shoving Henry over Betty ("That actually worked?").

I loved The Office as well - my favorite parts generally involved Kelly trash-talking Pam. Mindy Kaling is so awesome, I have such a girl crush on her. Also, loved "Who are the twins"/"They hang off milady's chest". It was really really interesting how everything played out in the deposition, and how Michael handled himself in that situation. "You expect to get screwed by your company, you don't expect to get screwed by your girlfriend". 'Nuff said!

Can't wait to see Supernatural when I get home!!!

Love that 30 Rock can poke fun at itself and the tv industry. The news updates on the bottom of Jack's tv (when he sees Edie Falco's character on the news) were brilliant - "News Crawl Affected by Writes Strike: Using Repeat Text From Previous Season"

Plus, Tina Fey's "product placement" for Verizon was priceless

Supernatural was, by the way, AWESOME this week. Gore galore, and a LEGENDARY "turn" of events by Gordon Walker. This season of Supernatural has been top notch, and has contained 3 of my favorite Supernatural episodes EVER - Bad Day At Black Rock (funniest episode since Tall Tales), The Kids Aren't Allright (yes, kids are very VERY creepy), and whatever the one this past Thursday was called. How sweet was it at the end when Dean was teaching Sammy how to fix the car? This is one of the best (and underappreciated) shows on TV right now, and one of the very best things that The CW has to offer (at least now that VeronicaMars is off air).

DEBI HEISS, on Ohio's execution of 51-year-old Kenneth Biros; Heiss's sister Tami was a victim of Biros, and the family applauded as the time of death was announced. It was the nation's first execution by a single injection rather than the three-drug process
