A little good news to jump-start your discussion of last night's TV: Chuck has been picked up for nine more episodes this season by NBC, as has Life. If, you know, anyone ever actually writes new episodes of TV again. Did last night's leave you wanting more?

Chuck just keeps getting better, as his work life, his other work life, and his family life increasingly collide. Loved the "Pineapple" thing. Really enjoyed the Chuck-Sarah-Bryce triangle, ending with the phones ringing at the end. The dude that plays Bryce IS way charismatic, and he and Sarah had really good chemistry together. There's no way she's leaving Chuck, tho. I'm not worried. Much.

The Morgan/Anna (MorgAnna, perhaps?) relationship is scary and charming at the same time. Go Morgan, carrying his lady to safety, and finally passing a "test". Family Thanksgiving was awesome. I like how Casey's presence is totally being integrated into the melting pot without too much question - again, Adam Baldwin continues to be hilarious and awesome in every way. Next episode looks awesome, I am so glad this show has really picked up steam - it took a plot that seemed pretty implausible at first and infused it with warmth and human connections that actually made the whole thing somehow work. I am also so glad that the show is getting picked up for more episodes.

Last night's episode was excellent. It had all the usual great parts, and I was glad to see Chuck reconcile with Bryce (but honestly, how hard is that going to last? "Oh, I've got to go under the radar... again... but this time, I'm REALLY not being subverted against the CIA"). I thought the cliffhanger at the end of the episode was excellent, with both phones ringing. Call me nitpicky, but I would have loved to hear ringing, then hear Sarah's voice say "Hey..." Then again, I'm a huge sucker for the chickflickishness of Chuck. I do like that they're working to make a real plot behind the Chuck/Sarah fun.

What I didn't like was next week's spoiler. We've had a couple episodes that flow together with consistent plot, and the preview looked a lot like the earlier more standalone episodes of them having a mission, Chuck messing it up, and then we can only presume that Sarah and Casey will save the day.

That sounds way too negative for how much I love the show. They picked the perfect actors for every role, and they're very creative with the plots. Everything about the show is enjoyable, which is something not a lot of shows do.

Great news about Chuck's pickup. The show seems to really have hit its stride. If there's a better combination of action and comedy out there, I haven't seen it... am I right, people?

Absolutely fantastic! This has been a fun show - a real breath of fresh air, I for one am glad it's being picked up again - Thank you NBC!

Agreed, I was just waxing poetic, ok maybe just musing about the delight that is Chuck:

I love CHUCK! It's slowly turned into my favorite new television show. I know it's cooler to like PUSHING DAISIES or GOSSIP GIRL, but this show's nerdy antics -- and terrific cast -- are just more fun.
