Trailerama 2: "Rescuing People? Can't Really Say It's Our Primary Objective"

I haven't found an embeddable version, but James Hibberd at TV Week has the new extended trailer for season 4 of Lost. It's 1:47 minutes in heaven!

If and when anyone locates the inevitable slowed down, frame-grabbed versions, do please share with the class and post a link.

    Wow... amazing... (speechless)

I can't bring myself to spoil it, but I'm happy to read your reactions.

Phenomenal.....but where is Lt. Cedric Daniels?

Seriously, we still have to wait ANOTHER month-plus?

By the way, check out the reflection in the water during the title shot at the end of the promo....does that look like a city to you?

They showed this at the movie theater the other day and I was one of about 10 people in the audience who audibly gasped. (By the way, if you plan on spending 11 dollars on a movie in the next few weeks, you need to see "Juno". It's the feel-good movie of the season. I'm halfway convinced that Ellen Page and Michael Cera will be their generation's Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks.)

I don't know if anyone saw it in the other thread, but the post-production 6 is apparently from an in-universe flash-forward era news program detailing the Oceanic 6 that made it back to civilization. And again, I have to question whether that 6 would count non-Losties like Desmond, the Rousseaus, and Others, or if wanted individuals like Kate or Sawyer would out themselves or just go back into hiding, not counting towards the 6.

Uhh, that the show now will cover the flash-forward era (i.e. the city) as well as the Island isn't a surprise, and thus it isn't a surprise that they would change the logo to accomodate this.

And more Christian. Even I have no theories on whether he is alive, dead, alive and a dead clone, or dead and a plastic surgery double. I can't even guess.

Not really their primary objective? Nah, no one here has been saying they're actually the Hanso invasion force ever since Naomi landed on the Island or anything (even before an Others/Dharma split was verified) :)

And like I also said last season, I expect:
    A) Not Penny's Boat to not know that Faux 815 was fake and treat the Losties as Others (i.e. not well)
    B) The flash forwards will show us who all got off the Island, but no one will get off the Island any time soon (either the season or the series finale), so we're stuck scratching our heads as to how the getaway happens when things continue to look dire for the Losties
C)Heck, I expect some of the Oceanic 6 to end up on both teams it looks like they are setting up (Sawyer and Kate joining opposite teams is the only way that conversation makes sense to me - also see previous trailer that had a small group getting caught in the rain and the searchlights, that group didn't include Sawyer), before they meet up and get "rescued"
D)Which I again also think is most likely to be Jack holding some piece of tech hostage - the same piece of tech he will be desperate to get back to the Island to stop! (Paik pulling rank and demanding his daughter gets off is the other main possibility in my mind.)

    E) The "in hiding" team to hook up with the Others in The Temple.
    F) Which, like the four toed statued, is part of an ancient Atlantis-myth spawning culture that used to live on the Island.

Wow, that was awesome. I can't believe the writer's strike will leave us with only 8 episodes this year. It will be a major bummer when the episodes end this year.

I had halfway contemplated waiting for the strike to end and normal seasons to resume before watching the upcoming 8 episodes. I mean, it was so disappointing last season to have a handful of episodes and then nothing. However, after seeing the recent trailers I realize I was just kidding myself. I'll take what I can get, when I can get it. I needs my Lost fix. C-ya Thursday, January 31st!!!!!
