Mad Men Sets Return Date
According to AMC's PR department, today the network is announcing the official premiere date for season 2 of Mad Men: Sunday, July 27 at 10 p.m. E.T. Yes, Mad Men will be on Sundays now, so you can turn it on and pretend that HBO is running original series once again. (Actually, it should make a good double-shot with HBO's Iraq mini Generation Kill, assuming that runs in the 9 p.m. slot.)
The channel is still being tight-lipped about what will be going on in the new season, but at least we have hope to get us through the summer.
UPDATE: For those of you who missed the first season and want to catch up, here are some deets from the official press release:
Leading up to the highly anticipated Season Two premiere will be a MAD MEN MARATHON on Sunday, July 20 at 12pm ET & PT/11C, featuring all 13 episodes from the series' award-winning first season.
AMC will also offer the series' award-winning first season On Demand, in both standard- and high-definition, beginning Monday, June 30. Committed MSOs include Comcast, Cox, Time Warner, Charter and Cablevision. Season One will be released on DVD on July 1 by Lionsgate.
