I love how Coach and Tami's stories are paralleling again; but they're bumping up against different obstacles. She's hemmed in by a lack of funds; he's hamstrung by the threat of losses and how they affect his position. Fortunately, she does have power now. What I'm thinking is if she will start taking some of Coach's perks away and how that plays at home. They're living separate career lives despite the fact that they're at the same school and she is his superior. Matt killed me today when everyone jumped to congratulate the new guy. I took this different: this is senior year, his coda to his football life. He's not a Smash that is likely to pull a scholarship. The new guy is taking the glory he would have away and is a threat to take over the season. Matt gets this, I guess. Tyra is my favorite character and loved how she told that old fart to never tell her she couldn't go to college. Best moment. Lyla and Riggs make no sense to me; but they're so hot I don't care, lol.
