The Morning After: The Other Big Vote

Spoilers for Project Runway... do not follow the jump, because I was liveblogging the debate while it was on. It's sitting on my Tivo, but rather than make you wait, I'll throw the thread open to your finale comments, and maybe I'll add my own once I get to around to watching.

So it was LeAnne. Pleased and not surprised. I would have been happy to see either she or Korto win on the basis of their performance over the season, but having seen the Bryant Park show, I simply think LeAnne had the stronger final collection. I disagree with the criticism that her work is boring and thus not as deserving; to me that's like saying a Philip Johnson house is lame because it doesn't have turrets and cupolas on it. LeAnne's palette was restrained, but it was the right palette.

But that's the classic, unresolvable argument over any kind of minimalism—and my wardrobe is mainly boring solids from Banana Republic, so I'm not exactly the guy to ask about any of this. On to Top Chef: New York!
