Biz Roundup: Up, Down, Coming Back Around
A few ratings/deals items I haven't gotten around to posting:
Renewed: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (to my surprise), for the rest of the season; Mad Men (not to my surprise), for a third. (Creator Matthew Weiner reportedly has not yet signed a deal, news that I'm not much worried about for now on the theory that none of the parties involved are insane.)
Sidelined: ABC has benched Opportunity Knocks (I know, it's killing you!), while The CW put Valentine and Easy Money on a several-weeks' hiatus.
Down in the Ratings: Well, take your pick—but, notably, Life on Mars and Kath & Kim.
Up in the Ratings: The Mentalist, and anything with Sarah Palin in it.
