Ow! My Blog! Update
If you're reading this, you've managed to find the Tuned In site—which is more than I could say for myself for several hours after the Time blogs came back online Friday. We're up and running again, though not at full capacity. Here's an update, in brief, of the status as far as I understand it:
- Posts prior to Friday are still missing from the blog as of this morning. I'm told the archive will be recovered before too long—I'm hoping today.
- The old commenter registrations have disappeared along with the old publishing platform, so yes, you do need to re-register to comment. Sorry, but I'm told there was no workaround for that.
- Things will be a little bare-bones around here while I learn how to work the various bells and whistles on the new platform. (For instance, this list is supposed to be in bullet points! Doesn't look like it, does it?) I'm having trouble embedding video, for another thing. I expect to work that out this week, though.
- Once the new iteration of the blogs is fully functional, I'm told there will be improvements, including (finally) subject tags on the posts. Not sure how soon, though. In the meantime, if there are problems you notice, post them here and I'll pass them along.
- Finally, about the content: since we were down Friday, I didn't get around to blogging The Office or most anything else I normally would have written about then. (Making it one of the most otherwise productive workdays I'd had in a while!) I doubt I'm going to have the chance to catch up, so consider this a free discussion thread in the meantime. And thank you for your patience, or lack thereof.

Yesterday, the old URL yielded the old blog, but now I see it's directing to the new address. Oh well. I never did get a chance to inveigh against that disastrously incompetent crossword puzzle mock-up that was a plot device on "Pushing Daisies" last week.

Ah technology. As great as it is, it seems to bring us to a standstill when it isn't working right.
