CBS Midseason: O Canada! O Ashton! OMG IT'S A SERIAL KILLER!

I had promised to post CBS's midseason announcement earlier. I was delayed, however, by having spent Two. Damn. Hours. on the phone / on hold with TiVo and Time Warner Cable regarding my still-not-functioning TiVo and HD-cable box. (I know you don't want to know any more about my TiVo troubles. I know it's boring. But not half as boring as Two. Damn. Hours. on a tech-support call, so there. I am a bitter, bitter man.)

So, the CBS schedule. CBS's fall has been more not-so-much-a-miserable-failure than the other broadcast networks', so there are fewer changes, chief among them the return of made-in-Canada cop show Flashpoint and the debuts of Game Show in My Head (a hidden-camera game show from Ashton Kutcher) and Harper's Island, a slasher mystery in which a different character dies every week. Now if only we could introduce that twist to Knight Rider! The schedule after the jump:

Not much to comment on here, given how little has changed.
-(Is this really the best we can do for paragraph breaks?)
I mentioned before that the lack of commentary by CBS on Eleventh Hour boded poorly, and we see the results - they were only given a partial back order, and are off the air come April 2nd. Unless the CBS pilots are all bombs, this won't be back next year, I suspect.

Too bad Harper's Island isn't on Monday, we could have had a proper tussle for title of "Heir to Murder She Wrote" with Castle.
    -
And speaking of Knight Rider, if you have time between tech support calls, check your email - NBC also released their fall schedule. Which has some gems, like NBC finally realizing Kings is the only thing on their schedule for 08-09 anyone was interested in, and giving it the ER slot. Also, NBC finally realized no one likes Knight Rider, and both reduced its back order and cut out half the cast.

None of those shows look good (except Harper's Island which I don't know anything about, so I can't say if it looks good or not). Ick.
