Vacation Robo-Post: The 2009 Buzzword Kill List

The title is self-explanatory. What overused words or phrases need to be banned from the English language in 2009? I'll start you off with a few:

* Game-changer

* "Throw _____ under the bus"

* Locavore

* Anything "-ista"

This is Robo-James' last day on the job, by the way. I'll see you Monday. If I haven't been thrown under a bus in the meantime.

    "change" (when not referring to coins, or dirty diapers)

    "historic" (when referring to the 2008 election)

  2. "You betcha." And pretty much everything else Sarah Palin said.

  3. "(Name or thing linked to any scandal)-gate"

  4. Any further use of "Main Street" as a contrast to "Wall Street".

  5. "It is what it is."

  6. average Joe
    Joe sixpack
    anything else with "joe", actually
    main st. vs wall st.
