The list is too vast, and my agreements and disagreements too many, to give you my applause and grievances. If you read me regularly, you probably have a pretty good sense which of these picks I love and hate; if you don't you probably don't care.
(Well, OK: I made a valiant effort to campaign for Big Love, which got as royally hosed by the TCA—partly, I suspect, because there are too many great actresses and they split the vote. On the other hand, Walton Goggins was an outstanding choice, even more so than Chiklis, for the final season of The Shield. "Family meeting!" I still get chills.)

"PROGRAM OF THE YEAR"
Seems like an odd category - I suspect most years (like this one) it is simply a repeat of the drama category, minus one or two of the weakest links to put in the buzzworthy comedy of the year. What's the purpose of the category? Every five years the TCA really _loves_ a comedy and needs to indicate that?
(Except for this year, where the comedy in the Year list... didn't even make the comedy list. Say what? And what is with their general love of SNL this year? Do media critics really hate Sarah Palin that much?)

"OUTSTANDING NEW PROGRAM OF THE YEAR"
Ouch. How better to describe 08/09 as strike damaged. -

Did this season of In Treatment not count? I'm sure Gabriel Byrne and Dianne Wiest will pull Emmy nominations out of that the second to last Gina episode.

This season of In Treatment did count. As for that and SNL... like I said, I did not agree with my fellow crix on everything.

Glad to see some love for The Shield here. One of the best TV shows ever in my opinion.
