The Morning After: Late to the Dance

Earlier this summer I made a semi-vow to try to keep up with this season's So You Think You Can Dance. Each consecutive episode that I miss, then, makes me feel like a grade schooler who has still not done the reading for a book report due this morning. Here, then, is my report on last night's So You Think You Can Dance:

Ahem. So You Think You Can Dance is a dance contest on the Fox television network, which is on channel 5 in New York City. Last night, two dancers were eliminated from the competition, which was probably very disappointing to them, because they worked very hard for this. According to Fox, SYTYCD is "America's hottest dance show."

In conclusion, television is a very powerful influence in all our lives.

And, um, that's all I've got. Can I sit down now? Feel free to discuss the results among yourselves.

    Here's my report:

The exports of Libya are numerous in amount. One thing they export is corn, or as the Indians call it, "maize". Another famous Indian was Crazy Horse. In conclusion, Libya is a land of contrast. Thank you.

Nooooo. Have you tried to make it through a full episode of this show (on a regular viewing and not the audition introductions)? I find it entirely creative, and the image you have up there reflects one of the many examples of ingenuity and talent required to be a part of this show.

Granted, it's format is annoyingly of the same formula as American Idol (and popstars and every other talent competition program), but the judges are a tad more bearable and the dance routines are worth the extra time fillers they have. It's one of those shows that are meant for just pure entertainment, and it would be a shame for you to write it off as so many have :( .

    There's my report ;) . Hope I get an A for effort.

I watched SYTYCD for the first time this week--I purposely skipped the audition rounds. I agree with priyapatel that the dances are worth the filler, though I definitely disagree with "judges are a tad more bearable". Mary Murphy and bearable do not belong in the same universe. I learned my lesson in less than one episode--mute is my friend.
